All of those lobotomy stories were so awful... there really are no words.

Freeman was a showman and liked to shock his audience of doctors and nurses by performing two-handed lobotomies: hammering ice picks into both eyes at once[and then] moving the instrument[s] back and forth.

Didn't shock them enough to put a stop to it.
